The September 2006 issue of contained a list of books that will appeal to the sports-minded reader. The titles are for a variety of ages--the youth-oriented books have suggested grade levels in their descriptions.
The Quick Picks committee (YALSA) of the American Library Association compiles annual lists of books that teens, ages 12-18, will pick up on their own and read for pleasure. The list is geared to the teenager who, for whatever reason, does not like to read.
